We are a dedicated provider of semi-independent accommodation and support for young people leaving care. We offer staffed shared, semi-independent accommodation for care leavers, with flexible packages of support from well trained, and professionally supervised, support workers. We also provide accommodation and support for other different groups of vulnerable young people.
Young People with challenging behaviour, outreach care and escort services.
Our personalised approach allows us to support young people in addition to identifying and addressing their individual needs, challenging risky behaviours and supporting them to access the local community services safely and independently.
Local authorities have a duty to house all care leavers aged 16 and 17. Once aged 18, young people’s accommodation needs are assessed under homelessness legislation, and most will need to claim Housing Benefit.
Includes young people whose relationships have broken down at home with parents or family; whose latest placements have broken down; who have been released from custody early; and whose lives are at risk due to gang involvement and CSE.
Supporting young people that might be susceptible to CSE. We will work with the young person to forge safe and appropriate relationships with others; working on relationships which may be conducted in person and online. We know that safety is critical to independence, so we address risk-taking behaviours and the risk of CSE, online grooming, gang-related activities, cyber-bullying and offending behaviour.
That might need an immediate move. A specialised support package is put in place, based on the individual needs of the young person. This includes improving health and wellbeing, working on the young person’s stability and building up their supportive network by engaging the young person in GP services, dentists and educational providers, all of which might require an interpreter.
